Digging Deeper: Who Are We?

Who are we? This week we are discussing this question and looking at the truths we know about ourselves from the Bible and why they matter for our everyday life.

First of all, we must remember that the Bible is not a book primarily about us. It is a story of God and His redemption of His people for His glory. In that, He has given us much instruction that impacts the way we live when we have been redeemed.

These are truths we know:

• We are made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26-27)

• We are sinners. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

• We are in need of a rescuer. (Romans 5:8)

Reading Scripture through the lens of God’s glory for our good, the instruction and admonitions we find will change the way we live our everyday lives.
